Harry Cohen

Founder of KTR Partners, Head of ZALIS USA

Meet Harry with over 30 years of international experience working with leading financial institutions, including Credit Suisse, BNP Paribas, Vega, BBVA, Bankers Trust and CIC. He has worked in Paris, London, Madrid and New York. Harry, a dual American-Spanish national, is fluent in French, Spanish, and English.

For the past twelve years, Harry has led Zalis M&A activity globally from New-York, developing a strategic partnership with B Riley Advisory Services, a US restructuring leader and investment bank and launching the BTG Global Advisory alliance (BTG Global Advisory – BTG Global Advisory (btgga.com)). He has overseen many transactions both in France and internationally. Some examples:

  • The identification and the acquisition a French e-money issuer for a large African remittance company ;
  • The sale of a minority stake in a general contractor firm to a French private equity firm ;
  • The renegotiation of interest rate swaps for a group of French hospitals ;
  • The purchase of a majority stake in a French aeronautics OEM by two major US private equity funds. 

    Prior experience:

  • Harry has 20 years prior experience in investment banking : arbitrager with BNP, proprietary trader with CIC and Bankers Trust, head of proprietary trading and then head of emerging markets at BBVA.
  • In 2003, Harry joined Vega AM (at that time, the largest hedge fund in the world), launching his own fund using BBVA’s capital.
  • In 2008, Harry launched HDCB Advisors, where he advised on risk modeling, a major risk software provider, and managed currencies/interest rates exposures, as well as equity overlays for some funds of funds and family offices.
 

Harry holds a Magistère in economics & statistics and a DEA in mathematical economics & econometrics from the Toulouse School of Economics. Since 2009, he is also a board member and treasurer of an international non-profit organization.

Morid Kamshad

Partner, M&A Advisor

Morid brings over 30 years of experience in investment research and advisory roles in the global financial services sector with a focus on global banking and payments systems. He has served on advisory boards of financial institutions and payments companies in the US and Europe. Additionally, he has worked on international projects and deals in the property management, natural resources, and healthcare services sectors.

His previous experience includes serving as Portfolio Manager at Omega Advisors, the head of the Financial Services team at Pequot Capital Management, and Portfolio Manager at Amaranth Advisors. Morid started his investment career as a research analyst covering Asian and European markets at Warburg Pincus, Pictet Asset Management (London), and HSBC Asset Management (Hong Kong).

Morid holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of Colorado, and an MBA from I.E.S.E. in Barcelona, Spain. He has lived and worked in 6 countries on 3 continents and is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.

Otniel Sovoessi

Associate

Otniel worked as a management consultant at BearingPoint and Accenture. In this role, he advised clients on strategic projects, primarily in the utilities and industrial sectors. With a successful track record in management consulting, he possesses strong skills in operational performance improvement, operations management, digital/business transformation, and benchmarking.

Otniel spent more than 15 years in Africa, and wishes to take initiatives in favor of Africa’s development.

Otniel is an MBA graduate from the University of Oxford. Also, he holds a specialized master in strategy and international business development from CentraleSupélec and EM Lyon, and a general engineering degree (master equivalent) from ESIGELEC.

Louis Merville

Analyst

Louis holds a Master of Science in Corporate Financial Management and a Master in Management (dual degree) from SKEMA. During his academic journey, he had the opportunity to further enhance his knowledge and skills by studying as an exchange student at Dom Cabral Foundation in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Louis’ professional background encompasses a strong financial experience, acquired as an M&A analyst at ATFIS, an M&A analyst at Hessings & Harcourt, and as a private banking assistant within the BPCE group.

Louis has developed his open-mindedness through his various international experiences. His previous experiences give him a global vision of mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate strategy. He has worked on projects in a diverse range of sectors, including industry, business services and healthcare, producing high value-added deliverables.

Kevin Israel

Analyst

Kevin holds dual degrees from SKEMA Business School, with a Master of Science in Financial Markets & Investments and a Master in Management. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Université Paris X Nanterre. During his academic career, he had the opportunity to study at Dom Cabral Foundation during an exchange program in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where he honed his skills in international finance.

Before joining KTR, Kevin gained extensive experience in small and mid cap mergers and acquisitions at Heynen Capital Conseil, and in small and mid cap private equity at Vespa Capital (200m€ AUM). Prior to that, he worked as a Sales Assistant at Amundi.

Kevin speaks French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. He is involved in several volunteering activities in education and sports, demonstrating his commitment to community projects. His deal advisory and deal-making experience make him a valuable asset in mergers and acquisitions processes.
