Meet Harry, the founder of KTR Partners, created in 2023 following Zalis’ merger with Endrix. Following twelve years leading Zalis’ global M&A practice from New York, Harry launched KTR Partners as a focused carve-out of the firm’s M&A division, continuing to lead complex cross-border transactions and strategic advisory projects.

During his leadership at Zalis, Harry played a central role in expanding the firm’s international footprint. He forged a strategic partnership with GlassRatner, one of the top restructuring and financial advisory firms in the U.S., and launched the BTG Global Advisory alliance. Over the years, he has managed numerous transactions in France and abroad, including:

  • Identifying and acquiring a French e-money issuer on behalf of a major African remittance company
  • Selling a minority stake in a general contracting firm to a French private equity fund
  • Renegotiating interest rate swaps for a group of French hospitals
  • Structuring the purchase of a majority stake in a French aeronautics OEM by two major U.S. private equity firms

With more than 30 years of international experience, Harry has worked in Paris, London, Madrid, and New York. As a dual American-Spanish national, he is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.

In 2023, following Zalis’ strategic merger with Endrix, Harry founded KTR Partners as a carve-out of Zalis’ M&A division.

Earlier career:

Before focusing on M&A and strategic advisory work, Harry spent two decades in investment banking, serving as an arbitrageur at BNP, a proprietary trader at CIC and Bankers Trust, and later head of proprietary trading and head of emerging markets at BBVA. 

In 2003, he joined Vega AM, then the world’s largest hedge fund, where he launched his own fund backed by BBVA. He later founded HDCB Advisors in 2008, advising a major risk-software provider and managing market exposures for funds of funds and family offices.

Harry holds a Magistère in Economics & Statistics and a DEA in Mathematical Economics & Econometrics from the Toulouse School of Economics. Since 2009, he has also served as a board member and treasurer of an international nonprofit organization.

 

Morid Kamshad

Partner, M&A Advisor

Morid brings over 30 years of experience in investment research and advisory roles in the global financial services sector with a focus on global banking and payments systems. He has served on advisory boards of financial institutions and payments companies in the US and Europe. Additionally, he has worked on international projects and deals in the property management, natural resources, and healthcare services sectors.

His previous experience includes serving as Portfolio Manager at Omega Advisors, the head of the Financial Services team at Pequot Capital Management, and Portfolio Manager at Amaranth Advisors. Morid started his investment career as a research analyst covering Asian and European markets at Warburg Pincus, Pictet Asset Management (London), and HSBC Asset Management (Hong Kong).

Morid holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of Colorado, and an MBA from I.E.S.E. in Barcelona, Spain. He has lived and worked in 6 countries on 3 continents and is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.

Otniel Sovoessi

Associate

Otniel worked as a management consultant at BearingPoint and Accenture. In this role, he advised clients on strategic projects, primarily in the utilities and industrial sectors. With a successful track record in management consulting, he possesses strong skills in operational performance improvement, operations management, digital/business transformation, and benchmarking.

Otniel spent more than 15 years in Africa, and wishes to take initiatives in favor of Africa’s development.

Otniel is an MBA graduate from the University of Oxford. Also, he holds a specialized master in strategy and international business development from CentraleSupélec and EM Lyon, and a general engineering degree (master equivalent) from ESIGELEC.

Louis Merville

Analyst

Louis holds a Master of Science in Corporate Financial Management and a Master in Management (dual degree) from SKEMA. During his academic journey, he had the opportunity to further enhance his knowledge and skills by studying as an exchange student at Dom Cabral Foundation in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Louis’ professional background encompasses a strong financial experience, acquired as an M&A analyst at ATFIS, an M&A analyst at Hessings & Harcourt, and as a private banking assistant within the BPCE group.

Louis has developed his open-mindedness through his various international experiences. His previous experiences give him a global vision of mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate strategy. He has worked on projects in a diverse range of sectors, including industry, business services and healthcare, producing high value-added deliverables.

Marius Larue

Analyst

Marius holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Audencia. As part of his academic journey, he completed an exchange program at Politechnika Łódzka in Poland.

Before joining KTR Partners, Marius gained valuable experience as an M&A Analyst at Acticam, a Crédit Agricole subsidiary. He worked on a number of small-cap transactions for companies based in Western France. Later, he joined Alira Health in Barcelona as an M&A/Licensing Analyst, focusing on international deals in the healthcare sector. Hence, he had the opportunity to broaden his skills in both the preparation and execution of M&A/Licensing transactions.

Marius brings expertise across multiple industries inc. healthcare, agribusiness, industry, retail, and distribution. He speaks English, French, and Spanish.
